As far back as I could remember, I’ve had a passion for doing things with my hands. Be it arts & crafts, baking, photography, fiddling with electronics, I enjoy doing it. I’m very seldom bored.
One of things I’ve always wanted to do was open a bakery. I’m pretty good at baking and I’ve taken a few cake decorating classes. I’m good at cooking as well, though I don’t enjoy it as much as I enjoy baking. I’d often have friends come over to my place to sample things I’ve made (just so I don’t eat it all by myself – shhh! don’t tell them). As a child my nickname was Shortybiscuit. I’m not sure if it stemmed from the name of a cookie or from the belief some people had that I was short. Now, that nickname has been shortened to either Shorty or Biscuit. Friends would always come to my place to eat my food, hence “Biscuit’s Place” was born. It’s a place for people to visit, eat and simply enjoy spending time.
I get into all sorts of things and I’m very fond of DIY. If anyone has a project house in NYC and needs a hand, drop me a line as I’d love to assist. I keep finding excuses to buy more tools – yes, I use them. But, not to their fullest potential. I’ve been gardening as well, so look out for some posts about that as well. I’ll be posting some recipes along with images of food I’ve made. Try them and let me know how they turned out for you. I’ll also post arts & crafts and DIY projects and just about anything I feel worthy 🙂
