Patience is one of the things that “desserts” me when it comes to waiting for cakes to cool before eating. OK…not just cakes.
This has to be my favorite chocolate cake. It’s a very moist cake that’s very soft and melts in your mouth. I was really feeling for a slice of chocolate cake so off I went to the kitchen to bake this up. Seems my co-workers will be getting a treat tomorrow. There is no way I’m keeping this around.
To top it off I found some homemade vanilla ice cream in the freezer. What could be better to go with my hot slice of cake? Exactly, nothing! I’ve had requests for this cake in the past so I’ll be sure to let them know there is some in the house that they’re welcome to take.
I got this recipe from Hersey’s site many years ago when it was titled Deep Dark Chocolate Cake. If you attempt to make it be aware that the batter is liquid which is very unlike regular cake batters. Here is a link to the recipe: https://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipe-details.aspx?id=8108. You might not ever try another chocolate cake recipe after this.
