This is my second time going apple picking and I must say I love this location. The Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery is an amazing location and many of the apples were varieties I had never heard of before – like Sun crisp and winesap. Sun crisp is definitely my new favorite apple. It’s is crisp as the name states and sweet with a slight hint of tart. In addition to the apple picking there was wine tasting and even a BBQ food truck selling BBQ (of course) and freshly baked biscuits with apple butter that inspired me to make some.
I haven’t decided what I’ll be doing with all these apples since there is more than enough for pies, chips and apple butter. I will be posting all the creations.
