I’m a pasta girl at heart, though I’ve really cut back over the last year. Alfredo sauce and vodka sauce are two of my favorite ways to have pasta, but Macaroni Pie and Mac & Cheese are the top of my list.
This is my second try at making Alfred Sauce. The first time the recipe called for cream cheese. It tasted really good, but cream cheese isn’t and ingredient I keep on hand. I’d often have heavy cream on hand because I use it to make ice cream. So this recipe fit the bill.
I chose to try out spinach fettuccine pasta for this as its supposed to be the healthy alternative to regular pasta. Shrimp pairs with pasta really well so for this meal I decided to grill the shrimp on my Presto Griddle. I added grape tomatoes and broccoli florets to the shrimp on the skewers and brushed them with a mix of melted butter and garlic powder.
